LAST WEDNESDAY... as in the last Wednesday of Killington Mountain School, not a week ago!

The weather and conditions seem to just keep getting better and better. The team hit the dream maker, stash and timberline parks today. Eddie continued nailing some sweet grabbed 3's that he started trying yesterday. Max "the method man" Elles styled out some straight airs, while Chris rested up after yesterday's tumble on the last jump in the dream maker park going super big rodeo. Footage from the past two days will be posted shortly after Chris puts together a little video montage with his new found free time.

Wednesday - Thursday - Friday

Still having some difficulties downloading video to the blog, so its pictures for now. The team was going big on the jumps Wednesday, with Chris keeping his Rodeo's flying high. Thursday turned into a slushfest which made the park junk. Then the cold weather overnight made the conditions slick and pretty firm today. A prospective athlete joined the team today by making a great escape from his home school. Tomorrow... Eddie graduates from KMS! Where does the time go?

Rodeo One

I had hopes of showing a few video's of Chris doing his first rodeo, but downloading to the blog has proven too much. So here is Chris' first attempt ever at a rodeo. I plan to put up the sequence of four soon.

The team was back at it on Monday. A little bit of training at Bear and then more over at the timby park at Rams Head. The dream maker park was still closed due to the Grand Prix competition that took place over the weekend. Lots of jibbing and new spins on the small timby jumps. There has been some talk of Rodeo's lately, so we started preparing for that day during afternoon sport on the trampoline. If the conditions are right, we might just see some Rodeo's flying soon on the snow.

The team was reunited with Chris today at Rev Tour head quarters in Sugarloaf. Everyone had the opportunity to get out practice on the slopestyle course after signing in. Chris was able to get into the competition via wait list, so it will be Chris and Eddie going big tomorrow, while Max and Julian train on the boardercross course. One side note, there will be two gold medal Olympians competing in Wednesdays BX, home town hero Seth Wescott and Vermont native Ross Powers. So it will definitely be interesting to see how Max, Chris and Julian all stack up in that event.

Chris and Ed discuss today's ranking updates on the USASA website.

CENTRAL VT SLALOM & GS

Max gets focused on the task at hand

One of Eddies first place runs
ALL GOLD! Max and Eddie both took home first place finishes in the slalom and gs that were held on Killington's Highline trail today. Eddie won his two golds in the Jams class, while Max took his by smoking the Junior field with some highly respectful overall times ta bout! Chris left the day before with family to focus on the last Rev Tour stop in Sugarloaf, ME. The rest of the team left for Maine after today's competition and is currently settled in the condo. Training begins tomorrow for the slopestyle that is to be held on Tuesday and the boardercross on Wednesday. Former KSC rider/coach Julian Mear joined the team for this trip and will be competiting in the boardercross event. Julian is ranked 4th overall(USASA) in the country.

Crazy to see who views this thing... all over the world. Some athletes, some family, and definitely friends. Give us a shout out(comments) sometime and keep on reading!

Tues' Wednesday

The weather has been a bit chilly lately, but it has not stopped the team from hitting the parks and jumping with all their might. We spent the majority of the day in the Dream Maker park yesterday and little did we know it would be the last day for the next couple of weeks. Killington has closed down all of Dream Maker, Vipers Pit, Lower Bear Claw, and the halfpipe to prepare for the U.S. Grand Prix finals that will be rolling into town on the 14th and 15th of March. The team was left with hitting up the Stash park today which made for a nice change. Sun and blue skies came with the cold which also allowed us to get some pretty sweet video in. I hope to post some of the footage later.
