The team trained at Bear today and once again the conditions proved to be quite challenging. Allison was kind enough to reward some of our efforts with waffles at the waffle house at the end of the day though... THANKS Allison!

The team started the day in the Timberline Park. Most of our time was spent working on perfecting Frontboards and Boardslides on the small down rail. Victoria even began her progression on the boxes with her "180 ons". Despite the trying conditions there was some good improvement on the teams box and rail skills. The second half of training was over at Bear where the Grand Prix is about to go off. The team was able to check out the new world class pipe that the competitors will be training in on Thursday.

The team finally had a break from competition over the weekend. It has been a busy past few months and everybody seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. The timing was good as well since the weather had been so poor over the weekend. The conditions on the mountain showed the effects of the rain and freezing temperatures that followed. The terrain was very slick and firm but with amazing views everywhere on sunny bluebird day. Having tough conditions helped us work on our balance and edging skills.

3-7-2008 Happy Birthday Allison Resnick!
15 today!
We spent the day in the Timberline Park working mostly on rails. Everybody worked hard on their park skills and made numerous improvements on some of their tricks. Allison is currently working on her board slides and front boards, while Max and Eddie are both doing the same but adding a switch out. Victoria also managed to nail some clean 180's, all while nursing a bit of an ankle stinger from a jump during training at Bear yesterday.

The team spent some time in the Rams Head Park for some jump/spin training... here are a few clips.

The team trained at Bear today. We were all curious to see what was left for us to hit since there is lots of work and preparation going on for the Grand Prix that will be in town next week. Turns out most of Bear was closed and the halfpipe is completely gone. But at least we will have a world class halfpipe to train in for a couple of weeks leading up to Nationals. Anyhow, the Beartrap park was in great shape so we spent most of the afternoon on the jumps working on amplitude and spinning.
